CloudFlare DNS Configuration

Kutoku requires that all publishers and merchants use a custom domain. This is set up by creating a 'DNS record'.

DNS records are the process by which a web visitor is directed to your website by entering my-domain.com into their browser rather than a hard-to-remember IP address like 193.44.53.289 .

There are many different types of DNS record. Kutoku need a CNAME record.

Here's a guide that you can to use to configure your DNS when using CloudFlare. 

In your dashboard follow  Step 1 — Set up your custom domain's DNS records and use the information in the table (item 3)  add a new CNAME record:

Enter the information as follows:


Type: CNAME

Name: Choose name from the table in your instructions e.g. hgkzadol

Value: domains.kutoku.com

TTL: Auto

Proxy Status: Off / DNS Only (grey cloud) <= this is very important!


Remember to click Save after filling out the record.


Troubleshooting — Error 1014

When visiting your custom domain you may see a screen like this:

To resolve this, please click the yellow button at the bottom of the DNS installation guide that looks like this:

It make take a couple of minutes before your domain is active.
