Migrating to Kutoku's Shopify App

When installing Kutoku's Shopify app you must remove your existing Shopify integration first. Please follow the following steps.

Step 1 - Remove the Landing Code Snippet

This snippet is installed in your current Shopify theme's theme.liquid file.

  • Click Online Store under Sales Channels in the left side navigation, then select Themes.
  • Click the three dots button just to the left of Customize and choose Edit Code from the dropdown.
  • You should now be in the theme editor where you will see you site's templates.
  • Select theme.liquid from under the layout folder.
  • Find the code that starts with <!-- Start Kutoku referral snippet --> and ends with <!-- End Kutoku referral snippet -->. It should be near the top, before the closing </head> tag.
  • Delete it, including the beginning and ending <!-- --> comment lines.
  • Click Save and you're done!

Step 2 - Remove the Checkout Code Snippet

This snippet is installed on your order status page.

  • Click Settings in the bottom left of your home screen, then select Checkout and accounts.
  • Scroll down until you see the Order status page box.
  • From within this box you must find the code that starts with <!-- Start Kutoku conversion snippet --> and ends with <!-- End Kutoku conversion snippet -->.
  • Delete it, including the beginning and ending <!-- --> comment lines. If there is other code, be sure to ONLY delete the Kutoku on.
  • Click Save and you're done!

You're now good to install Kutoku's Shopify app!
